Artist's Comments

The inkwork for a re-interpretation of a Filipino monster called an aswang, the traditional version usually depicts the aswang with her body split in half with her entrails hanging out.

That's really rad!!! This Aswang is not so scarry looking. I once had this dream that I was alone in my work office and kept hearring this weird hissing-crying noise coming from one of the service bays. When I went over to investigate this freaking Aswang comes flying out at me shrieking and it scared the shit out of me so much I woke up and didn't go back to sleep.

Yikes... yeah... this Aswang is more like a femme fatale, pretty and dangerous at the same time... the scariest version I've seen of the aswang is of an old, wrinkled, witchy woman with fangs and disheveled hair... and of course all the guts spewing out... maybe I'll try to draw something like that sometime...
